Responsibilities include driving timely recovery actions, identifying nonperformance causes, and deploying improvement tools while coordinating with Safran teams and supplier personnel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or equivalent).
  • Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum: 3 months in an industrial manufacturing environment (forging, casting, machining).
  • Preferred: 3 years' experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (forging, casting, machining).

Responsibilities

  • Monitor supplier manufacturing activities, WIP status, throughputs, input rates, and balance.
  • Provide accurate delivery forecasts.
  • Drive actions to recover performance in expedited timelines and identify root causes.
  • Coordinate regular meetings and minutes between the supplier and Safran teams.
  • Consolidate supplier risks and deploy improvement tools.

Job description

1. Activities Summary

The Supplier Performance Analyst mission is to support Safran Aircraft Engine in recovering the performance of suppliers in crisis that are seriously impacting Safran supply chain and customers.

The SPA is tasked to visit the supplier often to secure an expedited recovery. The SPA will need to especially monitor the status of the work in progress within the supplier's factories and the correct implementation of the recovery actions. The SPA is also a facilitator between Safran and the supplier teams to ensure proper communication and expediting of the key actions to support the recovery.

The SPA is able to propose improvements on SPM tools. He/She will be in charge to deploy various projects related to supplier surveillance and monitoring.

2. List of activities
Monitor the operational performance:
  • Monitor the manufacturing activities at the suppliers and their sub tiers (Work In Progress status, throughputs, input rates, Line of Balance …)
  • Provide accurate delivery forecasts
Drive action to improve:
  • Ensure the realization of the actions necessary to recover performance in an expedited timeline.
  • Identify reasons of nonperformance and propose corrective actions
  • Perform analysis to identify the root cause of nonperformance (time studies …)
Ensure efficient communication between the supplier and Safran's team
  • Coordinate regular meeting between supplier and Safran (organize, write minutes …)
  • Coordinate with the supplier on the broadcast of production reports meeting Safran's expectations
Propose and deploy improvement tools
  • Consolidation of the suppliers risks
Education:
  • Minimum: Bachelors of Science from an accredited institution in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Equivalent Discipline)
  • Preferred: Master Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Equivalent Discipline)
Experience:
  • Minimum: superior to 3 months in an industrial manufacturing environment (forging, casting, machining …)
  • Preferred: 3 years' experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (forging, casting, machining …)
