Job summary

WVLT-TV in Knoxville is seeking a driven storyteller and editor who knows that photography extends beyond shots; you will use microphones and visuals to bring time and place to life, turning scripts into compelling broadcasts.

Duties include shooting videos and stills for digital platforms, operating laptop editors and portable field gear, collaborating with reporters and producers, maintaining equipment, and editing rundowns to deliver high‑quality, dynamic newscasts.

Qualifications

• Experience in video photography and non-linear editing preferred.
• Must be able to work all shifts and have a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of Sony PXW200/300 and Edius 9 is a plus.
• Spanish speaking is a plus.

Job Summary/Description

WVLT-TV is seeking someone who is a driven storyteller and knows that photography is more than wide, medium, and tight shots. When it comes to a microphone, you use it as a tool for gathering sound and taking people to a place in time, rather than just an object for sound bites. As an editor, you'll be able to take a script and make it sing with natural sound and tremendous visuals that you've gathered in the field or pulled from our visual journalists.
