Job description

We’re not looking for someone who wants to clock in and coast — we’re looking for a grinder. Someone who’s proud to stay late, get sweaty, dirty, sunburned, soaked, and still wants another take. You’ll film machine guns, fast cars, helicopters, and high-speed teams. You’ll work with law enforcement and top-tier operators. Some days you’ll be in a swamp. Some days you’ll be in the studio, and other days you'll be in a different state, maybe even a different country. Every month is different — and that’s exactly how you like it. If you love to shoot (cameras and firearms), crave intensity, and want your work to mean something, we want to talk.

About Forge Relations:

Forge Relations is a fast-paced creative agency rooted in the firearms and defense industry. We specialize in producing high-impact content with strategic value for premium brands. Our team thrives on bold creativity, strong relationships, and the ability to adapt quickly.

The Role:

We’re looking for a versatile Videographer/Editor who’s passionate about creating compelling visual content and capable of operating independently or as part of a larger team. You’ll be responsible for capturing, editing, and delivering high-quality video content that supports our clients' goals across platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Capture Content: Film on-location and in-studio footage for product launches, campaigns, social media, events, and branded content.
  • Edit Videos: Edit short-form and long-form content in Davinci Resolve, including sound syncing, color grading, and motion graphics (if applicable).
  • Collaborate With Team: Work with internal producers, clients, and creatives to bring video concepts to life.
  • Review and Finalize: Ensure quality and consistency across all outputs, deliver final files via Dropbox or relevant channels.
  • Work Independently: Travel to shoot locations and manage on-site filming, sometimes solo.
  • Maintain Gear & Organization: Help manage and prep gear and contribute to a smooth workflow from pre- to post-production.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Editing-First: You’re fast, clean, and efficient in post-production.
  • Self-Starter: Comfortable managing timelines, file structure, and creative output with minimal oversight.
  • Field-Ready: Skilled at running a camera (DSLR/mirrorless/cinema), audio capture, and lighting setups.
  • Creative-Forward: You pitch ideas and try new ideas, not everything will be a homerun, but you're not afraid to experiment.
  • Firearms Industry Fluent: You know how to operate safely and confidently at the range and understand how to capture industry-relevant content.
  • Scrappy & Versatile: Thrives in a lean, fast-moving team; willing to wear multiple hats and pitch in wherever needed.

Requirements:

  • Proficient and comfortable around firearms.
  • Experience in the firearms, defense, or outdoor industry is required.
  • 3+ years of video production/editing experience.
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite & DaVinci Resolve.
  • Portfolio or reel showcasing editing and camera work.
  • Ability to travel periodically for shoots.

Compensation:

  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Health benefits after 90 days.
  • Growth opportunity within a fast-scaling production team.
