Job description

We are seeking a creative, highly motivated Video Producer to capture and produce compelling video content for our team, drivers and partners. This full-time position will be responsible for filming and editing at INDYCAR race events, as well as supporting content production at our Indianapolis headquarters, partner activations and other events.

The Video Producer will collaborate closely with the Social Media Manager and PR team to develop and deliver content across a wide range of projects. These include short-form social video, long-form features, partner campaigns, driver content, interviews and more.

The ideal candidate has a strong creative eye, understands how to tell stories for modern digital audiences and thrives in a fast-paced environment. They should be equally comfortable capturing spontaneous moments at the racetrack and producing polished, planned video projects from concept through delivery.

As a Video Producer, Your Key Responsibilities Include
  • Capture and edit video at INDYCAR test and race events, documenting our drivers, team personnel, race activities, partner activations and behind-the-scenes moments.
  • Produce engaging short-form content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X and other digital platforms, tailoring each edit to its intended audience and format.
  • Deliver fast-turnaround edits during race weekends and key team events.
  • Develop and produce long-form projects, including features, interviews, race recaps and documentary-style storytelling.
  • Collaborate with communications, partnerships, marketing and sales colleagues to produce video for partner deliverables, commercial presentations, driver initiatives, internal communications and other team needs.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Digital Manager, Social Media Manager and PR team on creative concepts, shoot planning, content priorities and production schedules.
  • Plan and execute video productions, including interviews, multi-camera shoots and location filming, managing camera operation, lighting and audio recording through editing, sound design, color grading, captions and motion graphics.
  • Capture high-quality B-roll and evergreen footage to support future team, partner and media requests.
  • Film at the team’s headquarters for production days, at partner appearances and other events as required.
  • Identify relevant social media trends and contribute fresh ideas that strengthen the team’s video content and fan engagement.
  • Work with the Social Media Manager to review video performance, using audience retention, watch time and engagement insights to refine storytelling, pacing, formats and future content ideas.
  • Organize, label, back up and archive footage, project files and finished assets to maintain an accessible video library.
  • Prepare and maintain cameras, audio, lighting and other production equipment.
  • Maintain a consistent visual identity through color grading, graphics, typography and sound, ensuring content follows team and partner brand guidelines and respects confidential information.
  • Represent CGR professionally when working with drivers, partners, guests and team personnel.
To Be Successful In This Role, You’ll Need
  • Demonstrated professional experience shooting and editing video, supported by a strong portfolio or reel.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud. Experience with motion graphics is a plus.
  • Strong technical knowledge of cameras, lenses, lighting, audio recording and stabilization equipment.
  • A strong creative eye for storytelling, cinematography, composition, pacing and sound.
  • Experience producing both short-form social content and longer video projects, including vertical and horizontal formats.
  • An understanding of social media platforms and how to capture attention and engage audiences through video.
  • The ability to work independently, take initiative and collaborate effectively within a communications team.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • The ability to think quickly, adapt to changing priorities and recognize opportunities to capture unplanned moments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence working around drivers, partners and team personnel.
  • Availability for extensive travel to INDYCAR race events, including work during evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
  • A degree in video production, film, digital media, communications, marketing or a related field, or relevant professional experience.
  • Familiarity with the Sony camera and accessories ecosystem.

Experience in professional sports or live-event production is preferred. A passion for visual storytelling, content creation and fan engagement is essential.
