Job summary

Astound is seeking an Associate Video Engineer in Lanham, MD to maintain and grow our video offering through equipment and software testing. The role includes triaging trouble tickets, identifying issues on legacy set-top boxes, TiVo and Android IPTV devices, and assisting customers to gather details for effective resolution.

You will work with Video Operations and Video Engineering, performing regression tests across platforms, while staying current with new video hardware and software

Qualifications

2+ years of experience troubleshooting video.
Experience testing OTT/embedded devices.
Associates Degree in CS/IS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Test OTT/embedded applications on consumer electronics devices.
Triage and troubleshoot customer and vendor trouble tickets.
Work directly with customers to obtain issue details.
Use internal tools to investigate issues.
Perform regression testing across platforms.
Keep abreast of new video hardware and software.
Assist with multiple projects concurrently.
