The Zimmerman School at the University of South Florida is a leader in advertising and mass communications education. Position Summary:

The Zimmerman School is seeking a highly motivated and dependable individual to support classroom technology and assist faculty in studio and lab environments. Other duties may be assigned as needed. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in academic and media production environments while supporting faculty and enhancing the educational experience for students.

Minimum Qualifications:

This position requires a high school diploma and two years of work experience in instructional or laboratory work. College coursework may be substituted for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Must have some experience in the use of professional video cameras, tripods, batteries, wireless microphones, drones, and video editing software. Some job training is provided. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Primary duties include:

• Providing support for classroom technology, including class preparation and setup
• Assisting Senior Teaching Lab Assistant with checking in and out video/audio/lighting equipment
• Supporting faculty with studio and lab instruction, including VU Studio production and development training
• Cleaning labs, control rooms, studios, and work areas
• Performing other duties as assigned

Work Schedule:

Hours are flexible, may include evenings (usually no weekends). Maximum of 20 hours per week.
