Job summary
Augusta University is seeking a Video Journalist to create compelling visual stories for our educational environment. You will storyboard, shoot, light, and edit videos using industry standard software including Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects.
You will also review footage, perform post-production tasks, operate video equipment, and contribute to brand-aware content across our websites and social channels, collaborating with a creative team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in video production or related field with 2 years of videography/editing experience.
- Experience with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
- Strong storytelling ability and understanding of interview lighting principles.
Responsibilities
- Visual storytelling from concept to completion; researches ideas, develops visual themes, and produces video content.
- Uses video to create learning, discovery, and student success videos of varying lengths.
- Produces highly artistic video to elevate university websites, social media, and marketing materials.
- Utilizes advanced technical and lighting skills to elevate videography during pre- and post-production.
- Engages subjects and provides artistic direction on location.
