Job summary

The University of Florida on Main Campus (Gainesville, FL) seeks a skilled Multimedia Specialist III to own end-to-end video storytelling for Student Life, collaborating with leadership and a student staff team to bring ideas to life.

Responsibilities include directing, filming, editing, strategy development, and maintaining brand and ADA compliance across social, web, and digital platforms. A Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.
• A valid Driver's License is required
• Appropriate vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, direct, film and edit high-quality video projects that capture the student experience and advance the Student Life mission across platforms.
• Coordinate and execute all stages of production including concept development, location scouting, storyboarding, scriptwriting, pre-production, filming, lighting, post-production editing and delivery.
• Ensure projects align with divisional goals, university brand standards and ADA compliance standards.
• Collaborate with department leadership to identify goals and translate them into creative video projects; establish visual direction and shape the brand voice.
• Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate a multimedia team, including student staff; manage policies and schedules.
