Job summary

Augusta University seeks a videographer to create compelling visual stories for education and outreach across four campuses and statewide locations. You will storyboard, plan, shoot, light, and edit using industry-standard software to produce engaging content for learning and marketing purposes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in video production and at least two years of videography/editing experience, with strong storytelling and lighting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in video production or related field, plus 2 years of experience in videography and editing role.
• Experience in Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects and other post-production editing software.
• Understanding of 3-point lighting for interviews.
• Creative thinking, attention to detail and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Independently manages multiple visual storytelling assignments from concept to completion; researches visual content ideas, develops visual themes and stories, and produces video content for multimedia formats.
• Uses video to create exceptional visual stories for various platforms. Examples include learning, discovery, and student success videos of varying lengths.
• Produces highly artistic video that elevate the Augusta University websites, social media, and brand marketing materials to promote brand awareness and audience engagement.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for creating compelling visual stories. This position supports the growing demand for visual media in our educational environment and serves as videographer supporting creative content. Storyboards, plans, shoots, organizes and lights video shoots. Edits videos and performs all other post-production tasks, including reviewing footage, logging, rough cuts, audio adjustment, color correction, and final editing using Premiere, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and/or other industry standard software. Troubleshoots and performs routine maintenance on video, audio and lighting equipment. Makes recommendations to department for software and equipment purchases.

Must possess working knowledge of the fundamentals of marketing practices. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Knowledge of graphic design techniques and software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite) preferred.

Working knowledge of HIPPA and/or higher education policy preferred. Must be a fast learner, a team player, self-motivated, and able to juggle multiple projects.

Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Days/M-F (work outside of normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position)

Pay Band: B8

Salary Range: $45,400/annually - $48,880/annually

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position.
