Job summary

Hammer Media in Austin, TX is hiring a Video Editor to support Hammer Elite’s daily content. You will edit long-form YouTube episodes, shape pacing and storytelling, and deliver polished cuts that align with our high standards.

You’ll work on organized workflows, manage assets, and help grow the team with mentoring. A fast-moving production environment awaits in our in-office East Austin setup.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of video editing experience, ideally with YouTube-first content.
• Strong long-form YouTube editing instincts for pacing and retention.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop.
• Expertise in color grading, audio cleanup, and YouTube deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Edit and deliver high-quality episodes across multiple YouTube shows.
• Shape pacing and storytelling to maximize viewer retention.
• Integrate b-roll, music, graphics, and motion elements.
• Deliver polished cuts that meet quality standards.
• Build organized workflows, templates, and editing guidelines.
• Manage files, versioning, and asset organization.
• Create thumbnails and titles with a testing mindset.
• Analyze video performance metrics and refine editing style.
• Mentor other editors and help the team grow.
