Job summary

HTU is seeking a skilled video producer/editor to create and manage visual media for the House Republican caucus. The successful candidate will operate an on-site studio for shoots, podcasts, and events, and attend legislative sessions to capture activities for timely distribution.

Responsibilities include scheduling, coordinating with legislators and staff, and supporting speaker press conferences at the Capitol.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience composing, capturing, and editing videos is required.
State government or relevant experience preferred.
Ability to function in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Produce and edit visual media for all members of the House Republican caucus.
Operate and maintain an on-site studio for video shoots, podcasts, press conferences, and other events.
Attend House voting sessions, committee meetings, and occasional in-district events to record and communicate legislative activities.
Manage scheduling studio time and prepare shoots for 58 Republican legislators.
Support preparation and management of the Speaker of the House’s regular press conferences at the Capitol.
Deliver timely shoots and quick turnarounds for varied video content.
Work closely with legislators, staff teams, and officials from other government branches.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality and work primarily in-person Monday through Friday, with occasional remote work and infrequent nights and weekends.
