Pew Research Center is seeking an Associate Video Producer and Editor to create engaging short-form video content for its website and social channels. You will write scripts, edit, and apply motion graphics under the guidance of the Head of Video, turning research into compelling visuals.

The role emphasizes nonpartisanship, editorial clarity, and timely delivery, with a hybrid Washington, DC office schedule and virtual work on other days.

Qualifications

• B.A. or equivalent professional experience.
• 3–5 years of producing and editing short-form video content.
• Ability to translate research findings into clear visual narratives.
• Proficient in Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Experience writing scripts that meet editorial standards.

Responsibilities

• Produce and edit video content for Pew Research Center's website and social media.
• Develop video concepts aligned with research releases, from scripting to delivery.
• Use motion graphics templates and create simple animations for data-driven visuals.
• Manage post-production workflows: editing, sound, color, captioning, formatting.
• Ensure content aligns with Pew Research Center's editorial standards and nonpartisanship.
• Translate research data into social-friendly stories with engaging visuals.
• Collaborate with research, design, digital, and audience teams.
