U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is seeking a Victim Assistance Specialist at the full performance level to support crime victims with mandated services and referrals.

The role involves coordinating with federal, state, and local officials, partner agencies, and the U.S. Attorney Victim-Witness Coordinator to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities after indictment. Strong collaboration within regional victim assistance networks is expected.

Qualifications

• Attend client interviews to address the victim's needs and determine eligibility for victim services.
• Liaise with community organizations, federal, state, and local officials regarding victim assistance services.
• Provide training, technical assistance, and support to office staff on victim assistance matters.

Responsibilities

• Assists agents on scene when victims are encountered to provide mandated services and referrals.
• Establishes liaison with field offices and officials regarding victim assistance.
• Coordinates with the U.S. Attorney Victim-Witness Coordinator to transition responsibilities after indictment.
• Participates in local, regional, and statewide victim assistance networks.
