Case Worker

The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office is accepting applications for the position of Victim Services Case Worker.

This position is assigned to assist victims with the aftermath of violent crimes and act as a liaison between victims and the criminal justice system.

Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, behavioral science, or a similar field.
  • Must possess effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience and demonstrated comfort working with those in grief and trauma is preferred.
  • Prior advocacy experience is preferred.
Duties

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Inform victims of their rights within the criminal justice system.
  • Escort victims to court.
  • Keep victims apprised of important court dates.
  • Provide appropriate community referrals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case notes and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as attorneys and social workers, to provide comprehensive support to clients.
  • Provide emotional support and crisis intervention, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
