Job summary

Dallas County Votes is seeking a dedicated Victim Advocate to support crime victims with case information, court processes, and referrals.

Qualifications

Provides information about the court process, punishment options, resources and referrals. Provides crisis counseling and court accompaniment. Does a risk assessment and safety planning. Works with outside agencies to obtain information and coordinate social services for crime victims. Assists in the application of crime victim’s compensation claims, and performs other related duties as directed.

Physical/Environmental Requirements: Standard office environment. May require prolonged sitting, kneeling, standing, walking, twisting, climbing and the ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs., unassisted.
