Reporting to the CEO of UnitedHealthOne, this role oversees the future UnitedHealthOne sales revenue growth produced by 150+ national agencies and over 55,000 externally appointed brokers.

Responsible for strategic planning, team alignment, and execution of broker sales initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies that target, recruit, and activate new national agency partnerships
  • Identify key industry trends and emerging customer needs and drive this information deep into the business for product development
  • Collaborate and effectively work with sales leadership across the different business segments of the UHC organization
  • Promotes personal and professional development of sales team through internal & external training activities
  • Represent UHC at key broker and consultant industry events showcasing UHC’s value
  • Continuously engage with internal functional areas such as product, operations, finance, marketing, and data/analytics to ensure alignment/collaborative efforts across the organization
  • Promote accountability with a focus on execution, innovation, and working to solve problems creatively
  • Develop strategies to expand and integrate UHC ancillary products onto 3rd party quoting and enrollment platforms
  • Collaborate with national agencies to drive up product persistency rates and quality of UHC business submitted
  • Responsible for development of all broker distribution bonus & incentive programs
  • Work alongside the UnitedHealthOne Chief Growth Officer to find new growth verticals to enter
  • Comply with all company and government policies, regulations, and business ethics codes to ensure they are communicated and implemented across the entire team
  • Possess strong financial acumen

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of proven successful sales and/or sales management experience in Health Insurance
  • 5+ years of management experience with direct reports
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively utilize PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Exceptional networking skills and the ability to collaborate among various UHC business functions
  • Driver's license and access to reliable transportation
  • Willing and able to travel 50% +/- depending on business need

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Broker Management Experience
  • 5+ years of experience working with General Agencies
  • Solid data analytical skills
  • All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy

The salary range for this role is $130,000 to $240,000 annually based on full-time employment. Role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on sales performance. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
