The role partners with senior leaders, the Compensation Committee, and external advisors to shape pay practices for top executives in a large, matrixed organization, ensuring competitiveness and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in executive compensation and pay design.
  • Experience supporting a Compensation Committee and public company governance.
  • Expertise in equity and incentive plans and proxy disclosure.
  • Proven advisory experience with senior executives and managing external consultants.
  • Experience in a large multinational matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute executive compensation strategy aligned with business priorities.
  • Design executive programs that reinforce performance and shareholder value.
  • Lead annual and special compensation reviews for executive leadership.
  • Advise the Compensation Committee on executive compensation matters.
  • Oversee design and administration of incentive plans and equity programs.
  • Ensure SEC and related compliance for compensation programs.
  • Advise senior executives on compensation, retention actions, and succession planning.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Vice President, Total Rewards, Executive Compensation to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This leader will own the strategy and execution of executive compensation programs that support enterprise priorities, governance standards, and shareholder alignment. The role partners closely with senior leadership, the Compensation Committee, and external advisors to shape pay practices for top executives in a large, matrixed organization. It also plays a key role in ensuring compensation programs are well-designed, competitive, and compliant in a highly regulated environment.

Location: Purchase, NY - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $221,000 – $353,000 annually

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute executive compensation strategy aligned with business priorities
  • Design programs for senior leaders that reinforce performance and shareholder value
  • Lead annual and special compensation reviews for executive leadership
  • Serve as an advisor to the Compensation Committee on executive compensation matters
  • Oversee the design and administration of incentive plans and equity programs
  • Ensure compliance with SEC and other compensation-related requirements
  • Advise senior executives on compensation, retention actions, and succession planning
Qualifications
  • 12+ years of progressive compensation experience, particularly in executive compensation
  • Experience supporting a Compensation Committee and board governance at a public company
  • Expertise in executive pay design, equity and incentive plans, and proxy disclosure
  • Proven success in advising senior executives and managing external consultants
  • Experience in a large, multinational, matrixed organization
  • Preferred background in financial services, technology, payments, or consulting
