York Technical College invites applications for the Vice President for Communications and External Relations, a strategic executive leadership role responsible for strengthening the College's relationships, reputation, and community impact. Reporting directly to the President, this position provides leadership across development, partnerships, and marketing and communications.

Ideal candidates will hold a Master's degree or higher, with seven or more years of progressively responsible leadership

Formación

• Master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Seven or more years of progressively responsible professional experience, including significant leadership responsibility, in at least one of: development and fundraising, business and industry partnerships, or marketing and communications.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, establish strategic priorities, build collaborative relationships, and achieve organizational results.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision‑making skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic direction for development, fundraising, and grants to support student success and institutional priorities.
• Lead partnerships with employers, industry leaders, and community stakeholders to advance workforce development.
• Guide marketing, branding, public relations, and crisis communications strategies to strengthen the College's reputation and visibility.
• Foster collaboration across external-facing functions and align resources to deliver measurable institutional results.
