York Technical College invites applications for the Vice President for Communications and External Relations, a strategic executive leadership role responsible for strengthening the College's relationships, reputation, and community impact. Reporting directly to the President, this position provides leadership across three interconnected areas: development and fundraising, business and industry partnerships, and marketing and communications.
We recognize that exceptional leaders bring different professional strengths. The ideal candidate will demonstrate significant accomplishments and a strong trajectory of professional growth and expertise in at least one of these three areas, coupled with exceptional leadership skills and the ability to provide strategic direction across the entire portfolio. We do not expect candidates to possess equal subject-matter expertise in all three disciplines.
As a member of the College's executive leadership team, the Vice President will develop and empower talented professionals, build meaningful internal and external relationships, and translate institutional priorities into measurable results. Success in this role requires strategic thinking, sound judgment, collaboration, and the ability to bring people and resources together around a shared vision.
