Job summary

Compass Datacenters is seeking a VP of Site Operations in Dallas, TX to provide strategic leadership across multiple data center campuses. You will drive operational excellence, strengthen cross-functional coordination, and deliver an exceptional customer experience while managing budgets and ensuring safety standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive progressive leadership experience in site operations, data center management, or other critical facilities environments.
• Experience managing facility incidents that impact critical facilities.
• Proven ability to lead multi-site operations and large teams.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing operational budgets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or related discipline; Master’s preferred.
• Ability to provide leadership outside standard business hours during prioritised situations.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute an operational strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Lead continuous improvement and operational initiatives for efficiency, compliance, and customer experience.
• Ensure campuses follow maintenance schedules, incident management procedures, and change management protocols.
• Oversee campus go-live readiness, including staffing and budget alignment.
• Maintain compliance with safety, security, and regulatory standards across campuses.
• Manage site operating budgets to maximize efficiency and control costs.
• Monitor campus performance, identify risks and opportunities, implement corrective actions.
• Build relationships with customers and internal partners across Design, Delivery, and Supply Chain.
• Mentor site leaders and managers to strengthen technical capabilities and leadership readiness.
• Serve as liaison between customers and internal teams and as escalation point for operational issues.
