Job summary

Aquarius Gaming, LLC is seeking a Vice President of Security to lead the Security Department with a focus on safe, secure guest environments and operational excellence. You will guide strategic and day-to-day activities, ensuring compliance and high service standards across properties.

You will manage budgets, drive performance, and coordinate with partners to advance enterprise priorities, while building a team capable of adapting to evolving threats and regulations.

Qualifications

  • 7 years of hospitality security and/or law enforcement experience with leadership responsibility
  • Experience leading multi-property teams or high-impact operations
  • Strong decision-making, planning, and analytical skills with measurable goals
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication abilities to lead change
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt leadership style to business needs
  • Proven ability to build inclusive, high-performance teams
  • Budget management, workforce planning, and process optimization knowledge
  • Knowledge of Gaming Minimum Internal Control Standards, Nevada statutes, and local regs
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint; familiarity with BI tools
  • Experience with security software and reporting analytics preferred

Job Description Summary:
As the Vice President of Security, you are entrusted with the overall strategic and operational leadership of Security Department. You play a critical role in shaping a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests and team members alike. Through your direction, administration, and coordination of all departmental activities, you ensure compliance, elevate service standards, and safeguard the integrity of the property—making you a key driver of operational excellence and organizational resilience.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of assigned department(s), ensuring alignment with company vision, financial goals, and service standards
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain high‑performing leadership teams and team members to foster engagement, accountability, and professional growth
  • Lead the execution of company and departmental initiatives by converting strategic objectives into actionable plans with defined performance indicators
  • Monitor and manage budgets, resources, and operational performance metrics; drive cost‑efficiency while maintaining quality and compliance
  • Serve as a key liaison with internal stakeholders and external partners to align departmental efforts with enterprise‑wide priorities
  • Promote a strong guest service culture by designing and maintaining service standards and resolving escalated concerns with sound judgment
  • Develop and oversee long‑ and short‑term departmental strategies, including staffing models, capital investments, and emergency preparedness plans
  • Authorize security clearances and access to restricted areas of the property
  • Develop and implement internal controls, risk mitigation strategies, and compliance monitoring methods
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of evolving laws, regulatory changes, and security threats affecting the gaming and hospitality industry
  • Oversee payroll and related administrative duties to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 7 years of hospitality security and/or law enforcement experience; includes leadership or progressive responsibility in multi‑property teams or high‑impact operations
  • Demonstrated success in leading large teams, multi‑unit operations, or high‑impact projects
  • Exceptional decision‑making, planning, and analytical skills with a track record of achieving measurable business goals
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication abilities to lead change and influence outcomes across all levels of the organization
  • Adept at navigating ambiguity and adapting leadership style to dynamic business needs
  • Proven ability to build and maintain inclusive, collaborative, and high‑performance work environments
  • Skilled in budget management, workforce planning, and process optimization
  • Knowledgeable in Gaming Minimum Internal Control Standards, Nevada Revised Statutes, and local jurisdictional regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiar with analytics tools and business intelligence platforms
  • Experience using security software, reporting tools, and analytics platforms preferred
Requirements
  • This position is classified as safety‑sensitive and requires successful completion of a pre‑employment drug screening, including testing for marijuana
  • At least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
