Job summary

Stratosphere Gaming, LLC is seeking a Security Officer to help safeguard guests, employees, and property across our casino and hotel campus. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, respond to incidents, and support a secure, welcoming guest experience.

The ideal candidate is 21+ with a high school diploma, able to communicate effectively in English, and capable of handling security tasks, including keys, logs, and coordinating with law enforcement as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and courteous guest service aligned with the company culture.
• Monitor and patrol casino and hotel areas to protect property and people.
• Escort and secure transfers of money, tokens, and jackpots.
• Respond to incidents, including injuries or emergencies.
• Support evacuations and direct guests as needed.
• Assist guests with room access and mobility support.
• Secure crime scenes and coordinate with law enforcement as required.
• Log keys and monitor fire control and lost and found processes.
• Ensure compliance with gaming laws and internal controls.
• Deliver outstanding guest service promptly to guests and staff.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Description Summary:

As the Security Officer, you play an essential role in ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and property by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. You contribute to providing a secure and welcoming environment, responding quickly and appropriately to incidents, and promoting outstanding guest service.

Job Description:

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Provide timely and courteous guest service consistent with the company’s guest service culture

• Monitor and patrol all areas of the casino and hotel to protect property and ensure guest and team member safety

• Escort and secure all transfers of money, tokens, chip fills, hopper fills, and jackpots

• Respond to guest and employee incidents, including injuries, illnesses, or emergency situations

• Support emergency evacuations and direct guests appropriately

• Assist guests with room key access and wheelchair escorts as needed

• Maintain and secure crime scenes, communicate with law enforcement and investigators as needed

• Assign and log keys using Key-Trac system; monitor fire control center and manage lost and found

• Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position

• Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 1 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality or security industry preferred

• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment

• Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team

• Committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and safety-conscious work environment

• Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system

Requirements

• This position is classified as safety-sensitive and requires successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening, including testing for marijuana

• At least 21 years of age

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal

• Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company

• Verify right to work in the United States
