You will bring strategic thinking to the challenges and opportunities facing the division, the Partnership, and the region.

The following responsibilities are essential for the Research VP:

  • Lead and allocate research resources across all Partnership divisions to support economic development, member engagement, public policy, and marketing communications.
  • Direct research publications and deliverables, including major reports such as Houston Facts, Economy at a Glance, and annual forecasts.
  • Supervise data infrastructure, including maintenance of Houston's economic database and the organization’s CRM system in coordination with IT and Member Engagement.
  • Serve as a public-facing expert and spokesperson on the regional economy, representing the Partnership with stakeholders, media, and visiting delegations.
  • Manage and develop the research team, overseeing staffing, professional development, and the integration of advanced knowledge in key economic subject areas.

To thrive, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Public Policy, or a related field with solid economics coursework.
  • Minimum of 10 years in business-related research, including at least 5 years in progressively responsible management roles.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop talent, and effectively manage teams or cross-functional groups.
  • Solid experience with economic and demographic data analysis, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data insights.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a track record of effective collaboration across internal teams and external stakeholders.

Join us in shaping the future of the Greater Houston region and making a lasting impact on the global stage. If you are ready to take on this exciting challenge and contribute to our mission of driving sustainable growth and prosperity, we want to hear from you!
