Job summary

SelectOne is recruiting on behalf of a growing manufacturing client in Buffalo, NY for a senior Operations leader. The role oversees Operations, Purchasing, Inventory, Freight, COE, and supplier relations to drive efficiency, automation, lean and compliance, boosting productivity and customer service.

The candidate will lead sustainability initiatives with EH&S and Sales, shape supply chain strategy, develop procurement processes, and ensure ISO/AS9100 ITAR compliance while expanding

Qualifications

• 10+ years of leadership experience within a large industrial distribution organization.
• 10+ years of distribution operations experience.
• 10+ years of supply chain management experience.
• Advanced proficiency with SAP or a comparable ERP system.
• Willingness to travel approximately 40% domestically (with possible international travel).

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performance operations and procurement team.
• Develop and execute operational and sourcing strategies to support profitability and growth.
• Optimize supply chain, warehousing, distribution, and logistics networks.
• Oversee vendor management, rebate optimization, freight strategy, and carrier contracts.
• Drive COE development, sustainability initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration with sales and EH&S.
