About the role

Synapse Health is streamlining how durable medical equipment (DME) gets to patients. We manage intake, documentation, routing, claims, billing, and patient support for our partners.

We're hiring a VP, Operations to run our HME and DME operations across qualifications, resupply, fulfillment, and member transitions. You'll own throughput, productivity, SLAs, quality, and cost to serve, and lead the directors and teams behind them.

The role calls for two things in equal measure: an operator who runs a rigorous performance-management engine, and a systems and design thinker who sees the whole workflow, simplifies it, and partners across the organization to improve it. We value the pace and caliber of a scaling operator over deep DME tenure.

What you'll do

• Own day-to-day execution, including throughput, productivity, SLAs, and same-day queue management.
• Build accountability structures, performance tracking, and management routines across the team.
• Assess team performance and structure, and build the leadership bench the operation needs as it scales.
• Treat the order workflow as one system: define the problem before the solution, standardize how orders flow, and embed rules in the tool rather than in people's heads.
• Find the small share of orders and steps that consume a disproportionate share of labor, and design that waste out.
• Partner as an equal with Product & Technology, Process Improvement, and Transformation to simplify flows and lower cost to serve across onshore, offshore, and partner teams.

What you bring

• 10+ years leading high-volume operations in healthcare, BPO/contact center, or comparable environments, with several years in senior leadership. DME, HME, or post-acute experience is a plus but not required.
• A track record of building accountability and performance management systems where they didn't exist.
• Experience mapping end-to-end workflows, standardizing them, and working with Product/Technology to build processes that scale.
• Comfort in the queues and the detail, not only at strategy altitude.
• Ability to travel: occasional domestic travel to operating sites and international travel to support offshore operations.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Compensation and benefits

The base salary range is $215,000 - $300,000 annually, plus an annual performance bonus and equity. Final compensation depends on experience, skills, internal equity, and market conditions. Benefits include flexible time off (FTO), medical, dental, vision, STD and LTD insurance, and a 401(k) with employer match.
