About Us

As we grow our technical team and product offering, we’re looking for a visionary VP of Engineering to lead, scale, and refine our engineering organization.

The Role

As VP of Engineering, you’ll be a critical member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO. You’ll own the engineering strategy, execution, and team growth as we scale our infrastructure, launch new products, and meet ambitious reliability and performance goals.

We’re looking for a seasoned engineering leader who has successfully led engineering teams at fast-growing Series A/B startups, ideally in the AI, voice tech, or real-time systems space. Your ability to scale teams, architect for growth, and balance velocity with quality will be instrumental in our continued success.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a high-performing engineering team (currently ~15 engineers, growing to 30+).
• Own technical strategy and execution, ensuring alignment with business goals and product roadmap.
• Drive engineering excellence — from system design to code quality, infrastructure, and testing.
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and Data teams to deliver delightful and reliable experiences.
• Architect and optimize systems for real-time audio processing, low-latency communication, and high availability.
• Recruit, retain, and develop top engineering talent — establish a culture of autonomy, accountability, and collaboration.
• Implement best practices for scaling teams, including org design, performance management, and process evolution.
• Represent engineering in executive leadership discussions and board meetings.

Requirements

• Proven experience as VP or Head of Engineering at a high-growth Series A/B startup (ideally in AI, voice, or infrastructure-heavy domains).
• Strong technical background — ideally with hands-on experience in real-time systems, audio/voice processing, or ML infrastructure.
• Track record of scaling engineering teams through periods of hypergrowth (team size ~10 to 30+).
• Experience managing both product engineering and infrastructure/DevOps functions.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to influence across the company and with external stakeholders.
• Based in the USA (remote-friendly with some travel as needed).

Bonus Points

• Background in voice AI, NLP, ASR/TTS, or speech-to-text technologies.
• Experience operating in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, finance).
• Contributions to open-source projects in the real-time or ML/AI ecosystem.
