Vice President of Sales
A leading global manufacturer in the metalworking and industrial tooling space is seeking an accomplished Vice President of Sales to oversee its commercial operations across North America (U.S. & Canada only). This is a strategic leadership role ideal for a results-driven executive with a strong background in sales strategy, organizational leadership, and business growth.
Position Overview
This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing regional sales initiatives that align with broader corporate objectives. Reporting directly to senior leadership, the role involves leading multiple sales teams, developing long-term growth strategies, and driving key customer relationships within the industrial tooling and manufacturing sectors.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and execute a multi-year sales strategy tailored to regional market dynamics and business goals.
• Define, communicate, and track ambitious KPIs tied to revenue growth, profitability, and customer engagement.
• Provide senior leadership across regional sales teams, ensuring performance management, operational alignment, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Maintain and evolve annual forecasts, budgets, and tactical plans to support strategic objectives.
• Foster and expand high-value relationships with key customers, delivering customized solutions and measurable impact.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders in marketing, product development, and operations to create a unified go-to-market approach.
• Serve as interim executive (as needed) for select North American entities, overseeing compliance and operational effectiveness.
• Represent the region in global leadership discussions and help shape overall business direction.
Leadership & People Management
• Mentor, develop, and empower frontline managers and sales leaders.
• Cultivate a high-performance culture based on accountability, trust, and innovation.
• Encourage initiative and ownership among team members, especially in managing client relationships and market challenges.
• Drive ongoing improvement in processes, tools, and team capability.
• Lead succession planning and invest in talent development to build future leadership depth.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field required; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
• Minimum 8 years in a senior sales leadership role, ideally within industrial manufacturing, machining, or tooling.
• Demonstrated success managing large, geographically distributed teams and complex customer portfolios.
• Deep knowledge of the North American market, customer behaviors, and competitive dynamics.
• Proficiency in CRM systems, financial forecasting, and performance analytics.
• Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
• Comfortable with travel across North America and occasional international commitments.
