Job description

TBN is seeking a strategic, execution-focused Vice President of Marketing & Fundraising to unify and lead the organization's audience growth, brand promotion, donor development, and fundraising strategy. This individual will build on the strengths of a highly creative marketing team while bringing added results-oriented leadership to support continued growth in both marketing and donor fundraising. This role will report to executive leadership and provide cross-functional leadership to multiple teams spanning different divisions.

Vision and Goals :

The long-term vision for this role is to build a unified, high-performing team that delivers measurable growth in new audience acquisition, donor engagement, and sustained giving. Success will be defined by the ability to integrate marketing and donor strategies into a cohesive, efficient system that supports TBN’s mission at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive, data-informed donor growth strategy that drives mass-donor acquisition, recurring giving, and long-term retention. Leverage Trilogy Analytics’ Customer Data Platform (CDP) to segment and personalize fundraising efforts, while aligning campaign messaging with TBN’s unique, content-driven mission. Serve as a strategic partner to major donors, board members, and external stakeholders to strengthen engagement and philanthropic impact.

Drive strategic coordination between programming, sales, and distribution to ensure unified marketing efforts. Partner with marketing leadership to align campaign strategy across broadcast, digital, print, and other platforms. Provide executive-level support in structuring workflows, optimizing budgets, and establishing performance metrics that maximize the impact and efficiency of all outbound campaigns.

  • Cross-Functional Strategy & Organizational Alignment

Shape and elevate TBN’s mission-driven messaging to inspire donor engagement while reinforcing the organization’s broader expansion and brand objectives. Strategically align marketing, communications, and donor engagement efforts across business units to ensure unified storytelling and audience experience. Act as a key strategic partner to senior leadership, fostering cross-departmental collaboration and driving enterprise-wide cohesion around growth and engagement initiatives.

  • Performance Insights & Strategic Reportin g

Leverage data from marketing and donor engagement channels to surface actionable insights that inform growth strategy and campaign optimization. Partner with analytics teams to ensure performance metrics are clearly defined, measured, and used to guide decision-making across departments. Deliver strategic reporting to executive leadership that connects audience behavior, donor trends, and organizational impact.

  • Innovation, Trends & Brand Resilience

Stay at the forefront of emerging trends in marketing, digital engagement, and nonprofit fundraising to inform innovation across campaigns and donor strategies. Champion the adoption of new tools, technologies, and approaches that enhance reach, efficiency, and impact. Provide strategic leadership in moments of brand risk by guiding crisis communication planning and ensuring organizational readiness to protect TBN’s reputation and trust with its audience.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or nonprofit fundraising
  • Experience managing donor acquisition and engagement at scale
  • Proficient with marketing automation tools, analytics platforms, and donor CRM systems
  • Skilled in building systems, teams, and culture around accountability and results
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
  • Adaptable and calm under pressure, with proven crisis management capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Strong understanding of the faith-based media landscape and audience dynamics
