We are seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to scale our talent acquisition and human resources function to support fast-paced team growth. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can drive recruiting strategy, optimize our HR infrastructure, and shape an outstanding employee experience that attracts and retains top talent. You’ll work cross-functionally to ensure our organization is well-staffed, well-supported, and well-positioned for future growth.

Key Responsibilities

Recruiting & Talent Strategy

  • Develop, implement, and oversee the job requisition process to understand and prioritize hiring needs and budgets across the organization.
  • Lead end-to-end recruiting efforts for all open roles, from job postings to final offers.
  • Develop and execute a strategic talent sourcing plan for open roles, identifying where to source qualified candidates while optimizing the balance between budget, candidate quality, and time-to-hire.
  • Oversee Epicured’s recruiting experience to attract top talent, including our online presence, job application process, and the screening and interview flow.
  • Determine the appropriate evolution of Epicured’s recruiting tech stack, including how we leverage tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter or Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).

Payroll, Personnel, and Compliance

  • Collaborate with the Accounting Team to manage the timely and accurate submission of the weekly payroll for full-time, part-time, and contracted staff. Ensure appropriate manager approvals are made, and monitor trends in absenteeism, tardiness, and overtime.
  • Lead onboarding processes for all new hires, including I-9 verification, immigration compliance, mandated trainings, and the issuance of offer letters and other important documents.
  • Monitor changes in local, state, and federal employment law, and ensure Epicured’s continued compliance with such regulations.
  • Maintain and publish an annual Employee Handbook.
  • Oversee the maintenance and evolution of Epicured’s employee benefits offerings, ensuring competitive offerings that attract and retain talent while balancing cost considerations.

Organizational Design and Culture

  • Provide thought leadership, in collaboration with senior leaders, to guide organizational design, corporate title structure, compensation bands, reporting lines, etc.
  • Identify how organizational design can best respond to employee needs as we scale the business to respond to strategic priorities.

Workplace & Culture

  • Oversee office space maintenance, including seating charts, furniture coordination, and space utilization planning.
  • Champion an inclusive and high-performance culture that aligns with our company’s mission and values. Develop strategies to assess, anticipate, and respond to cultural weaknesses.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of HR leadership experience, preferably in a high-growth or startup environment.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic hiring and employer branding.
  • Proficiency in LinkedIn Recruiter and ATS tools.
  • Strong understanding of employment law, onboarding documentation, and payroll systems.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage both high-level strategy and day-to-day execution.
  • Experience managing PEO relationships and benefits transitions a strong plus.

Compensation for this role begins at $80,000 and will be commensurate with experience.
