$150,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr

With that in mind, Mawson is seeking an experienced Vice President of Business Development to join our fast-paced team. This role will be responsible for establishing, building, and developing new lines of business including managed site services, procuring & selling co-location services, managed site services for BTC mining operations, and Managed Service Provider (MSP) of software/IT services for BTC mining enterprises and AI clients.

The Vice President of Business Development will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, identifying, and pursuing new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with potential clients.

We're looking for someone who has high levels of integrity and who can apply leadership and influencing skills when required. You will need a strong analytical mind, an eye for details and the flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities.

What will you own?

  • Develop, implement, and lead sales strategies to identify and close new business opportunities,
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential clients,
  • Lead client discovery, solution positioning, pricing negotiations and contract execution
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, IT, finance, and legal, to ensure successful service delivery,
  • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring that contractual terms,
  • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to Executive Team,
  • Identify & establish additional revenue stream opportunities for information systems and technology partnerships, including network, monitoring, and software services,
  • Identify and engage prospective customers through industry events and conferences to network and promote Mawson's offerings,
  • Continuously update your knowledge of the BTC Mining/AI/HPC industry and its evolving needs to better serve clients

What you have:

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field,
  • 10+ years of experience in business development or enterprise sales in colocation, data centers, cloud infrastructure, or a related field,
  • Experience with companies training GenAI, LLM, or inference models,
  • Deep understanding of the Bitcoin mining & AI/HPC landscape,
  • Strong network within the digital asset mining and AI compute communities,
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets,
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients at all levels,
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and other sales tools,
  • Willing to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events,
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently,

Preferred qualifications

  • 10+ years of sales experience in B2B software, digital services, digital infrastructure, or technology industries, such as Cloud Computing and Data Center Services, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) Software, High-Performance Computing (HPC) Solutions, IT Infrastructure and Managed Services, or Semiconductor and GPU Sales.
  • Strong understanding of the BTC industry, AI industry, including Generative AI and LLMs is highly desired,
  • Existing network in the AI space, particularly in the startup and venture community

Compensation: Full-time, Salary-Exempt - $150,000 - $250,000 + commissions (DOE)
