Kimberlite is an international third-party market intelligence and consulting firm, specializing in the collection and evaluation of voice of customer feedback to assess current market trends, technology adoption and establish performance benchmarks for oilfield equipment and service suppliers. With a proven track record, Kimberlite produces reports and analysis on market shares, supplier performance, regional reports and other specialty services that are used by E&P companies, OFS providers and the financial community.

We’re growing—and we’re looking for a driven, self-starting Vice President of Business Development to help us expand our footprint across the industry.

Your Role

As a Vice President of Business Development at Kimberlite, you’ll play a critical role in expanding our client base and supporting existing client relationships.This role requires competency in new business generation, uncovering opportunities and fostering relationships.You’ll work directly with our President and senior analysts in a team based, collaborative business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and close new business with oilfield services and equipment companies, E&P operators and investment firms
  • Identify, qualify, and cultivate leads via direct outreach, networking, events, and referrals
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders (VP and C-suite level) across sales, marketing, strategy, and product teams
  • Collaborate with our research and delivery teams to shape tailored proposals that address client needs
  • Drive the sales process from initial contact to final contract, including follow-up, negotiation, and onboarding
  • Guide account strategy, forecasting, and expansion efforts
  • Represent Kimberlite at industry events and client workshops

What You Bring:

  • 15+ years of business development experience, preferably selling research, consulting, or data-driven services into the energy and oilfield services sector
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed annual revenue targets
  • Existing network within oilfield services, with an understanding of key industry dynamics
  • Experience selling into enterprise-level stakeholders (VPs and C-suite)
  • Ability to articulate client needs and co-develop value propositions that resonate
  • A proactive, persistent, and strategic approach to sales
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
