Job summary

VTG in Washington, DC seeks a Program Manager to lead a major U.S. Navy systems development program, directing planning, execution and overall success of a multi-year effort.

Responsibilities include customer engagement, guiding technical activities, managing resources, milestones and budgets, and ensuring timely, quality deliverables; a PMP or DAWIA III and DoD secret clearance are required.

This role offers influence over program strategy and potential involvement in business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical/engineering field with 15 years of U.S. Navy/DoW systems development experience, or
• Master’s degree with ten years of relevant experience
• PMP or DAWIA III in Program Management
• Excellent communication and briefing skills
• PM experience managing a large support services contract with subcontractors
• Experience with cost, schedule and performance management of professional services contracts
• Must have and maintain a DoD Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Lead overall planning, direction and success of a major Navy systems development program.
• Engage with customer regularly; guide technical activities; allocate qualified personnel and resources.
• Establish and control milestones, schedules, budgets and deliverables; oversee quality submissions.
• Possibly contribute to business development initiatives and strategic insights.
