Job summary

Pearse Partners Ltd in New York is recruiting a Vice President for its Fund Finance team. You will lead NAV-based financings and LTV-based facilities, overseeing transactions from origination to close and underwriting fund exposures for asset managers and private equity sponsors.

The role requires strong credit and portfolio analysis, knowledge of fund documentation, and the ability to present credit papers to internal committees while building durable client relationships and mentoring junior

Qualifications

• Experience in NAV lending or fund finance is required.
• Strong credit and portfolio analysis skills.
• Knowledge of fund documentation and facility docs.
• Existing sponsor/secondary buyers networks are a plus.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead transactions end-to-end from origination to close.
• Underwrite private equity portfolios and fund exposures.

Pearse Partners has been mandated by a leading global bank to hire a Vice President into its Fund Finance team in New York.

The platform

A tier-one global bank with an established fund finance franchise, providing bespoke, asset-backed financing to asset managers and private equity sponsors. The US team is expanding to meet growing demand.

The team’s focus

• NAV-based financings for asset managers and secondaries investors
• Hybrid and back-leverage facilities for private equity sponsors

The role

• Leading transactions end-to-end, from origination and structuring through credit approval, documentation and close
• Underwriting private equity portfolios and fund exposures, including diversification, concentration, valuation and cash flow analysis
• Structuring LTV-based facilities, including covenants, cash sweeps and collateral packages
• Preparing and presenting credit papers to internal committees
• Monitoring portfolio performance and LTV compliance
• Managing client relationships with asset managers and PE sponsors
• Mentoring junior team members

What they’re looking for

• Experience in NAV lending, fund finance, secondaries financing or structured/leveraged lending
• Strong credit and portfolio analysis skills, with exposure to private equity fund structures
• Working knowledge of facility and fund documentation
• Existing relationships with sponsors, secondaries buyers or fund finance counsel are a plus
• Strong communicator who is comfortable in front of clients and credit committees
