Job summary

United Bankers' Bank in Richfield, MN seeks a Vice President, Loan Review Services Manager to lead and oversee loan review and consulting services for community bank clients. Reporting to the Revenue & Relationships leader, this senior role manages client engagements, team performance, department financial goals, and business development efforts.

This is generally a remote, work-from-home position with a hybrid option for the greater Minneapolis–St.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in loan or credit consulting.
• 5+ years of experience managing people, processes and department finances.
• Thorough understanding of credit, especially commercial credit, regulatory requirements, and accounting.
• Thorough understanding of loan review, loan grading, and ALLL.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to present information effectively to top management and boards.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%, with overnight travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage the loan review process for client banks with high-quality consultative services.
• Lead a staff of loan review consultants, including scheduling and training.
• Oversee department performance to meet financial goals.
• Conduct meetings with customers to relay review results.
• Conduct sales calls to prospective customers and guide staff calling efforts.
• Maintain accurate activity records and provide progress reports.
• Attend meetings/events to develop business and maintain client relations.
• Perform periodic client maintenance calls.
• Stay current on industry trends to improve product knowledge and offerings.
• Monitor competitors' products, pricing and sales initiatives.

UBB is currently recruiting for a Vice President, Loan Review Services Manager who will lead and oversee loan review and loan consulting services provided to community bank clients. Reporting to the Revenue & Relationships leader, this senior role manages client engagements, team performance, department financial goals, and business development efforts.

This is generally a remote, work-from-home position that requires self-discipline and self-motivation.

Eligible Remote States: AL, AZ, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MI, MN, MO, MS, ND, OH, SC, SD, TX, WI

Hybrid/Onsite Option: Candidates in the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area will have the option of working from the UBB Headquarters in Richfield, MN.

Essential Responsibilities

• Manage the loan review process for client banks by providing high quality, value added consultative services.
• Manage a staff of loan review consultants to include scheduling, monitoring the quality of job performance, and training.
• Manage the activities of the department to ensure that agreed upon financial goals are met.
• Conduct meetings with customers to relay the results of information gathered in the review.
• Conduct sales calls to prospective customers and manage the calling efforts of staff. This includes following up on leads provided by others and prospecting independently to find business.
• Maintain accurate records of activities and provide periodic reports on progress against agreed upon goals and objectives.
• Attend various meetings, events and other programs in order to seek business, maintain customer relations and represent the bank to the highest possible standards.
• Conduct periodic maintenance calls to existing clients.
• Remain up-to-date on trends and developments in the industry to keep product knowledge current and to be able to recommend changes to our product offering.
• Stay abreast of products, pricing and sales initiatives of key competitors.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Management or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in loan or credit consulting.
• 5+ years of experience managing people, processes and the financial performance of a department.
• Thorough understanding of credit, particularly commercial credit, regulatory requirements, and accounting.
• Thorough understanding of the theory and practice of loan review, loan grading, and ALLL.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to effectively present information to top management and boards of directors.
• Ability to travel up to 10% with half of that travel or more being overnight.
