Western Alliance Bancorporation is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Portfolio Manager - Lender Finance in New York, NY. You will analyze, underwrite, and coordinate closing of large corporate loans and structured products ($25mm+), working with Directors and MDs to monitor credit risk and manage portfolios.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 4+ years in portfolio management, strong knowledge of fixed income and commercial credit, and Excel/communication skills; CFA progress is

Qualifications

4+ years of related experience in Portfolio Management or similar field.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of Fixed Income investing.
Knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring; credit analyst training.
Advanced Excel; strong written and verbal communication.
Progress toward or completion of CFA.

Responsibilities

Analyze portfolio investment performance for buy/hold/sell recommendations
Prepare portfolio scorecards and recommend marks on collateral
Coordinate processing of approved loans; ensure loans are processed according to agreement and Bank policies
Assist in underwriting and portfolio upkeep tasks for new loan requests
