Job summary

State Street Investment Management in Boston seeks a Product Implementation Specialist, Vice President, to lead hands-on delivery of new investment products. You will partner with Product Innovation, Technology, Operations, Risk, and Compliance to move products from design through launch.

Ideal candidates bring 8–15 years in financial services, deep fund-structure knowledge, and a proven ability to manage multiple workstreams in a matrixed environment, including governance and documentation

Qualifications

• 8–15 years in financial services with practical investment management product implementation experience.
• Deep knowledge of investment fund structures (mutual funds, trusts, ETPs, alternatives).
• Expertise in exchange-traded products, governance and regulatory requirements.
• Exposure to digital assets or tokenization is beneficial but not required.
• Experience contributing to operating model design or complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong project execution and meticulous attention to detail.
• Clear, structured communicator across multiple stakeholders and levels.
• Experience operating in a matrixed environment with multiple workstreams.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Visio for workflow and operating model design.
• Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to hands-on delivery of new product implementations and launch readiness.
• Assess proposals against operating models, identify gaps, and propose timelines.
• Document end-to-end operating models, blueprints, and data flows across front/middle/back office.
• Coordinate activities across product, tech, operations, risk, compliance, and external providers.
• Track milestones, risks, and issues; escalate to senior management as needed.
• Maintain detailed implementation plans and governance reporting.
• Support product launches via testing coordination and hand-off activities.
• Apply SME knowledge on fund structures and lifecycle events, incl. tokenized structures when relevant.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, templates, and tooling.
