Qualifications

Prospera Executive has been instructed on a VP of Finance search for a profitable, high-growth, PE-backed cloud infrastructure and AI consultancy platform, built by a team of former hyperscaler leaders and backed by a growth-oriented private equity sponsor with a buy-and-build mandate.

The business is at an inflection point: profitable, scaling rapidly, and pursuing continued expansion through both organic growth and strategic M&A. The Head of Finance will own the core finance and accounting function, partner directly with executive leadership on post-close integration and board-level reporting, and build the institutional-grade financial infrastructure required to take the platform from early scale through to a successful exit.

Key Responsibilities

• Own company-wide financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting and the monthly/quarterly/annual close process, with audit-quality rigor throughout.
• Establish and enhance internal controls, policies and procedures appropriate for a PE-backed environment; own the external audit relationship.
• Own board-level financial packages, KPIs and investor reporting, partnering closely with the sponsor on value creation and performance reporting.
• Lead the financial aspects of post-merger integration and support M&A activity, including financial diligence, purchase accounting and integration planning.
• Lead or support ERP implementation and financial systems transformation to enable scalable, services-oriented reporting.
• Own the contract lifecycle across client and vendor agreements, including drafting, redlining and negotiating MSAs, SOWs, NDAs and renewals, coordinating with outside counsel on material terms.

Ideal Candidate

• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with required audit experience; CPA strongly preferred.
• Experience operating in a private equity-backed environment, ideally within professional or technology-enabled services.
• Hands-on track record with ERP implementation and financial systems transformation.
• Proven experience supporting M&A, financial diligence and post-close integration, alongside board or investor reporting.
• Commercially minded operator who can also manage the legal/contract function, with the judgment to operate in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
