Description du poste

Our client is a creative, fast-growing hospitality design firm that carries projects from first concept through purchasing and installation, with designers, procurement specialists, and field teams all working under one roof. The business is healthy, profitable, and still expanding into new services.

About the Role

One of the founders and finance leaders is preparing to retire, and that opens a rare seat. The Vice President of Finance will step in with a true side-by-side handoff from the person who built the function, then take it forward: owning the firm's finances, growing the department, and becoming the trusted financial partner to the Managing Partner. Ownership is looking for someone who can turn complex numbers into clear decisions, and bring a calm, steady hand to every major financial call. This seat is built for a Controller or Finance Director who has proven themselves and is ready for the next title.

Responsibilities

Vice President of Finance

Location: Nashville, TN (fully onsite)

What the Vice President of Finance will own:

  • Full oversight of company finances — billing, AP/AR, payroll, and project expenses — leading an Accounting Manager who handles day-to-day entry
  • Stewardship of client funds: the deposits and project dollars that flow through the business on clients' behalf
  • Monthly billing schedules, partnering with project directors to confirm what bills each month and that project splits are accurate
  • Final review and sign-off on payroll to confirm it runs accurately and on time
  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and cash position updates for leadership and outside stakeholders
  • Financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis that support strategic planning — spotting negative trends early and recommending corrective action
  • Primary point of contact for all banking relationships, including account support and lines of credit
  • Oversight of third-party partners, including the outside CPA firm and the firm's accounting platform
  • Leading the integration of QuickBooks Online into the firm's custom-built operating database through to the finish line, with decision-making authority on the client portal, data fields, and payroll and expense rules
  • Financial leadership for project management and operations teams on performance, profitability, and resource planning
  • Building and mentoring the finance team, including individual development plans and ongoing training as the department grows
Qualifications
  • High level of trustworthiness and transparency
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Able to work fully onsite in Nashville, TN
  • 8–10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience
  • Currently serving as a Controller or Finance Director (or equivalent), ideally with 1–2+ years in the seat and ready for the next step
  • Experience managing client funds and project accounting
  • Procurement strategy and cost savings experience
  • A proven track record of organizing, planning, and implementing financial processes and procedures
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online or a comparable accounting platform
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration with non-finance teams such as design, procurement, logistics, and installation
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to make financial information clear and reassuring to non-finance leaders
  • Proven mentorship and team-development skills
Preferred Skills
  • Procurement or purchasing-side finance experience
  • Hospitality, design, or project-based industry background
  • Experience at a company with $10M+ in annual revenue
Pay range and compensation package

Pay Rate: $100,000–$130,000 base salary, based on experience

  • $100,000–$130,000 base salary, based on experience
  • Benefits effective on date of hire: three medical plan options (including a $0 employee-premium plan), plus dental and vision
  • 401(k) with a 6% company match
  • Unlimited PTO with manager approval, plus paid sick days
  • Paid holidays
  • Childcare reimbursement for children under 13
  • Employer-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, and $25,000 life and AD&D coverage
  • An annual company-wide retreat (2026 was in the Dominican!)
  • A warm, close-knit team where people know each other's families and personality is valued over a cold or buttoned-up corporate style
  • Real room to grow: the firm is still expanding, and this leader will shape the finance department that comes next

This is not a remote position — this role is fully onsite in Nashville, TN. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
