Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services in Nashville, TN seeks a Vice President of Finance to lead the finance and accounting functions across a multi-property portfolio.

This executive will partner with senior leadership to drive strategy, enhance financial performance, and support growth. Strong FP&A, treasury, and GAAP reporting background required.

Experience with ERP systems, including Sage Intacct, and a track record of building scalable finance teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA/CPA preferred.
• 10+ years progressive finance leadership in real estate or property management.
• Strong FP&A, corporate accounting, and multi-site operations experience.
• Sage Intacct experience strongly preferred with ERP familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership across accounting, FP&A, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Oversee month-end/year-end close and GAAP-compliant statements.
• Develop financial models, cash flow forecasts, and capital planning.
• Partner with ops and executives to analyze property performance and investments.
• Lead finance transformation, process improvements, and system implementations.
• Manage and develop a high-performing finance team and strengthen controls.
• Support acquisitions, due diligence, and investor reporting.

We're partnering with a rapidly growing real estate and property management organization to identify an experienced Vice President of Finance. This executive will lead the company's finance and accounting function, partnering closely with senior leadership to drive strategy, improve financial performance, and support continued growth across a multi-property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership across accounting, FP&A, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close, corporate and property-level accounting, and GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Develop financial models, cash flow forecasts, and capital planning to support business initiatives and portfolio growth.
• Partner with operations and executive leadership to analyze property performance, profitability, and investment opportunities.
• Lead finance transformation initiatives, including process improvements, system implementations, and automation.
• Manage and develop a high-performing accounting and finance team while strengthening internal controls and reporting processes.
• Support acquisitions, due diligence, investor reporting, and long-term strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA or CPA is a plus).
• 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience within real estate, multifamily, or property management.
• Strong background in FP&A, corporate accounting, financial modeling, and multi-site operations.
• Experience with ERP and property management accounting systems; Sage Intacct experience is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to influence executive leadership, drive operational improvements, and build scalable finance organizations.
