Job summary

Rauch Associates, Inc. in West Michigan seeks a VP Finance & IT to guide the company’s finance and information systems strategy. Qualifications

• Senior finance leadership at a manufacturer (CFO, VP Finance or Controller).
• Finance transformation from assessment to results with evidence.
• Experience leading IT or ERP initiatives and partnerships.
• Track record of bringing long-tenured teams through change.
• Confidence to recommend direction to senior leadership and own it.
• Ability to work with operations, engineering, and sales beyond the close.
• Preference for building a long career at one company.
• Accounting or finance degree; CPA or MBA is a plus.

• Rebuild costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Lead Finance and Accounting: monthly close, cash, banking relations.
• Own audit, tax, insurance, and compliance.
• Support the Board on financial matters.
• Lead IT; ensure ERP and systems scale with growth.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and sales for accurate numbers.
• Develop finance and IT teams and grow long-tenured staff through change.

Job description

You’ve rebuilt the cost model, fixed the close, and dragged the systems into this decade. Now you want a seat where those numbers decide where the company goes next.

Our team is looking for a VP for a specialty manufacturer in West Michigan that's looking to add an executive to lead Finance and IT where you'll be reporting directly to the President. The company has been around for decades and is in a strong season of growth and you could be a pillar of that continued growth and success.

Responsibilities

• Assess the current state of finance and IT across the business, then recommend a plan and sequence to the President
• Rebuild product costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting so leadership can price, invest, and plan with confidence
• Lead Finance and Accounting, including the monthly close, cash management, and banking relationships
• Own audit, tax, insurance, and compliance
• Support the Board on financial matters
• Lead IT, and make sure ERP and business systems keep up with the company’s growth
• Work closely with operations, engineering, and sales so the numbers reflect how the business actually runs
• Develop the finance and IT teams, and bring long-tenured employees along through the change

What we’re looking for

• A finance transformation you led from assessment to results and can walk us through step by step
• Experience leading IT or partnering closely on ERP and business systems
• A track record of bringing long-tenured teams along through change

• Comfort working with operations, engineering, and sales, not only in the close
• A preference for building a long career at one company
• An accounting or finance degree (preferred); a CPA or MBA is a plus
