Job summary

USA Talent Solutions is seeking a seasoned VP Finance, US to partner with the incoming President and lead the organization through a critical transformation. This hands-on role will drive profitability, financial visibility, and accountability across sales and operations.

The ideal candidate has 8–10+ years of finance leadership, experience with turnarounds, and strong cross-functional communication. CPA is a plus; travel required.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
• Experience leading through turnaround or transformation.
• Strong commercial finance and business partnering with sales and operations.
• Solid month-end close, inventory accounting, and financial controls.
• Experience building/upgrading finance/accounting teams.
• CPA or equivalent credentials are a plus.
• Experience overseeing IT is a plus.
• Experience with multinational organizations or European parent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the President on financial strategy, performance, and turnaround initiatives.
• Lead cash management, liquidity, forecasting, and financial performance.
• Provide financial insight and challenge across sales, operations, and cost centers.
• Strengthen financial reporting and visibility with reporting and scorecards.
• Oversee month-end close, inventory accounting, and core accounting processes.
• Evaluate profitability and identify costs and efficiency opportunities.
• Lead, develop, and potentially rebuild the local finance team.
• Join the leadership team and provide continuity when the President is unavailable.
• Collaborate with global leadership across international teams and cultures.
• Establish a stronger operating rhythm around accountability and performance.
• Provide oversight for the local IT function as scope develops.
• Travel internationally approx. 4-5 times/year for budgeting and reviews.

About the Opportunity

Our client is a global manufacturing organization seeking an experienced VP Finance, US to partner closely with the incoming President and help lead the organization through an important period of operational and financial transformation.

This is a highly visible, hands-on finance leadership role. The VP Finance will serve as a key business partner to the President, working closely with sales and operations to improve profitability, strengthen financial visibility, and drive accountability across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the President on financial strategy, business performance, and turnaround initiatives.
• Lead cash management, liquidity, forecasting, and financial performance.
• Provide financial insight and challenge across sales, operations, and cost centers.
• Strengthen financial reporting and visibility, including developing reporting and performance scorecards.
• Oversee month-end close, inventory accounting, and core accounting processes.
• Evaluate profitability and identify opportunities for cost improvement and operational efficiency.
• Lead, develop, and potentially rebuild the local finance and accounting team.
• Serve as a key member of the local leadership team and provide continuity and leadership during periods when the President is unavailable.
• Partner with global leadership and collaborate across international teams and cultures.
• Help establish a stronger operating rhythm around accountability, financial performance, and continuous improvement.
• Provide leadership and oversight for the local IT function as the scope develops.

What We're Looking For

• 8-10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
• Experience leading through a turnaround, restructuring, or significant business transformation.
• Strong commercial finance and business-partnering experience with sales and operations.
• Solid knowledge of month-end close, inventory accounting, and financial controls.
• Experience building or upgrading finance/accounting teams.
• Demonstrated ability to create meaningful reporting and financial visibility in an environment where systems may still be developing.
• Experience working with a European parent company or within a multinational organization.
• Manufacturing or plant finance experience is preferred.
• CPA or equivalent credentials are a plus.
• Experience overseeing IT is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across functions, cultures, and levels of an organization.
