Job summary

TW Work Solutions, Alvin, TX, is seeking a Vice President of Finance to lead the company’s finance and accounting functions. The executive will guide strategic financial planning, partner with the CEO and private-equity sponsor, and manage a lean 3-person accounting team.

Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, GAAP reporting, cash-flow management, and collaborating with operations to improve margins and working capital.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive finance, accounting, or audit experience with senior leadership responsibility.
• Strong command of GAAP, financial reporting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and strategic planning.
• Experience leading budgeting, financial modeling, KPI reporting, and operational performance analysis.
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, working capital, and ERP systems.
• Ability to communicate financial results to CEOs, investors, lenders and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a lean accounting and finance team.
• Advanced Excel and financial-modeling proficiency.
• Manufacturing, distribution, building products, or construction-materials experience preferred.
• CPA, MBA, public accounting, lender-management, M&A, or acquisition-integration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the company’s accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning functions
• Advise the CEO and private-equity sponsor on financial performance, growth initiatives, capital allocation, and business strategy
• Develop annual operating plans, long-range forecasts, financial models, and performance targets
• Deliver executive-level reporting, dashboards, variance analysis, and actionable financial insights
• Manage month-end and year-end close, consolidated financial statements, and GAAP compliance
• Oversee inventory accounting and ensure accurate reconciliation between inventory subledgers and the general ledger
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, working capital, banking relationships, lender reporting, and covenant compliance
• Evaluate profitability by product, customer, location, and business segment to support pricing and operational decisions
• Partner with operations and sales leadership to improve margins, inventory management, purchasing, and overall performance
• Coordinate external audits, tax preparation, insurance renewals, risk management, fleet accounting, and regulatory requirements
• Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, ERP reporting, and scalable accounting processes
• Recruit, develop, and lead the accounting and finance team
• Support acquisitions, financial due diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition performance tracking
• Assist with future refinancing, recapitalization, and potential exit-planning initiatives

TW Work Solutions is representing an established, private-equity-backed manufacturer and distributor of construction materials in its search for a Vice President of Finance.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive will lead the company’s finance and accounting functions, manage a three-person accounting team, and serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership and the private-equity sponsor. The position is open due to the planned retirement of a long-tenured team member.

Key Responsibilities:
