Our client has established itself as a trusted engineering partner for utilities, independent power producers, renewable energy developers, EPC firms, and other organizations operating within the electric power industry. As demand for data centers and other energy-intensive facilities continues to accelerate, they are making a significant investment in expanding their capabilities within this rapidly growing market.
The Vice President of Data Centers & Critical Infrastructure will lead that effort.
This individual will establish the vision for the practice, oversee technical delivery, recruit and mentor engineering talent, strengthen client relationships, and work alongside executive leadership to drive continued growth.
Although this is an executive leadership position, the ideal candidate remains technically engaged and understands the engineering challenges associated with large-load interconnection, transmission planning, and power system modeling.
Lead the development and long-term growth of the Data Centers & Critical Infrastructure practice.
Establish technical standards, delivery processes, quality expectations, staffing plans, and long-term business strategy while helping position the group as a recognized leader within the industry.
Provide technical direction for complex engineering studies supporting hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and other large electrical load facilities.
Support projects involving:
Remain engaged with technical teams while ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Serve as a trusted advisor to some of the industry\'s largest power users, developers, utilities, and infrastructure organizations.
Develop long-term relationships with key stakeholders while identifying opportunities to expand existing partnerships and pursue new business.
Work closely with executive leadership on proposals, pursuit strategies, pricing, presentations, and major client initiatives.
Guide clients through utility interconnection processes while working collaboratively with utilities, ISOs, RTOs, and transmission providers throughout project development.
Provide strategic guidance related to transmission planning, utility coordination, and grid integration requirements.
Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of power systems engineers.
Create an environment focused on technical excellence, collaboration, professional development, and long-term career growth.
Support both domestic and international engineering resources to deliver consistent, high-quality work across multiple projects.
Contribute to the firm\'s overall strategic direction while helping expand one of its highest-growth service offerings.
Manage project performance, resource planning, utilization, profitability, and client satisfaction while supporting long-term organizational growth.
