Paychex is seeking a Senior Strategy Leader in Phoenix, AZ to define and drive strategic initiatives across the enterprise. You will manage corporate strategy, coordinate with leadership, and guide long-term growth and profitability initiatives.

The role requires extensive experience in strategy, marketing, market research, finance, and analytics, with strong managerial leadership to develop talent and align teams around Paychex’s strategic priorities.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required.
• 10+ years in strategy, marketing/business development, market research, finance, analytics, and pricing.
• 4+ years of managerial experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify and lead strategic initiatives to create long-term growth/value.
• Develop and deliver a comprehensive strategic/tactical plan for business development, income generation, and awareness.
• Analyze industry trends, threats, expansion opportunities and internal performance to position the company.

Overview

Defines, develops, implements, and communicates key strategic initiatives on behalf of the Leadership Team. Manages the corporate strategic planning process. Helps align the broader enterprise around the corporate strategy for the company.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and leads strategic initiatives to create long term growth/value for the company.
• Identifies, develops, and delivers a comprehensive strategic and tactical plan for business development, income generation, and awareness to stimulate action against company priorities through strategic and long-range business planning.
• Analyzes industry trends, competitive threats, expansion opportunities, and internal performance to ensure recommended strategies position Paychex properly against competition.
• Scouts the business landscape for attractive growth markets and formulates expansion strategies where Paychex can deploy its capabilities to drive long-term revenue growth.
• Supports internal stakeholders regarding strategy, including prioritization of product development efforts based on market opportunity, customer commitments, and potential for innovation, by working collaboratively across the organization to fully leverage Paychex’ assets.
• Leads targeted efforts to support corporate strategy, including market analysis, market research, internal activities, evaluation of trends, and identification of high-potential opportunities to identify and evaluate critical strategic priorities and/or strategic problems.
• Drives efforts to define a clear set of messages for strategy to ensure a connection between corporate strategy and product strategy.
• Recruits, selects, hires and evaluates performance of personnel to ensure all department needs are handled appropriately. Counsels and develops staff for personal and corporate advancement through career development, training programs and other resources as required for professional advancement.
• Prepares the capital and operating budgets for the cost center(s) and analyzes interdepartmental reports as they relate to the cost center(s). Achieves cost center projections through labor expense and administrative expense controls to support company financial objectives including management of revenue targets, marketing spending, and ROI.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree - Required
• 10+ years of experience in Including strategy, marketing/business development, market research, finance, business analytics, and pricing.
• 4 years of experience in Managerial experience.

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $190,000 - $250,000. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
