Job summary

Parsons seeks a Vice President, Contracts for the Engineered Systems unit. You will lead a 20+ person Contracts team, shape contracting strategy, negotiate FAR-based and commercial contracts, and advise senior stakeholders in a dynamic Federal environment.

You’ll manage risk, build customer relationships, and influence business outcomes while traveling to Parsons HQ in Chantilly, VA, client sites, or project locations as needed.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of prime contract administration experience, including construction for the Federal Government.
• Comprehensive knowledge of FAR, DFARS, OTAs, and related practices for prime and subcontracts.
• Experience with Federal agencies including DOW and the FAA.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; interpersonal abilities.
• Willingness to embrace AI to improve productivity and drive innovation.

Job Description:

Vice President Contracts, Engineered Systems

Parsons is looking for a Vice President, Contracts to support our Engineered Systems business unit. In this role you will lead the contracts function in a dynamic Federal contracting environment. You will be responsible for advising senior stakeholders, developing contracting strategy and negotiating FAR-based and commercial contracts.

You will lead a team of 20+ Contract professionals that are responsible for all Contract activity (New Business, Existing Business and Close-out activity) within a major Market within Parsons’ Federal Division. You must be fully knowledgeable of all legal, business, financial, and long-term implications of prime contract negotiation and maintenance. Developing positive relationships with current and future customers is imperative in this role.

This candidate will enjoy a virtual work arrangement with travel to Parsons HQ in Chantilly, VA, client's offices, or project sites.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Effectively managing, training, and developing a team of Contract Professionals to ensure consistent, high-quality performance
• Conducting risk assessments, helping to shape business strategy and supporting business unit and corporate level reviews.
• Structuring and negotiating complex contracts and/or contract modifications, often under difficult conditions with the US Government and commercial entities.
• Building strong relationships with internal and external customers

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or related field, or a JD.
• 15+ years of prime contract administration experience to include construction for the Federal Government.
• A comprehensive knowledge of the FAR, DFARS, OTAs and all other industry business practices for the negotiation of prime and subcontracts.
• Experience working with Federal agencies including DOW and the FAA.
• Possess strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with contract administration.
• Willingness to embrace AI to improve productivity and drive innovation
• Proven ability for managing and directing work involving complex situations.
• US Citizenship

Salary Range: $200,600.00 - $383,500.00

This position is eligible for incentive compensation.
