Job summary

BHcare Inc. is seeking a visionary Vice President, Community Services to lead its behavioral health and community programs across Connecticut. You will provide strategic direction, operational oversight, and ensure trauma-informed, person-centered services while expanding partnerships.

You will guide program directors, oversee budgeting, and drive growth through innovative, grant-funded initiatives, strong collaborations, and rigorous performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Social Work or related behavioral health field.
• Connecticut independent clinical licensure or equivalent professional licensure required.
• Minimum of five years of experience in a psychiatric, behavioral health, or substance use treatment setting.
• At least five years of progressive leadership experience overseeing multiple programs, service lines, and management-level staff.
• Demonstrated experience with budget management, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Experience building and maintaining partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and system stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee BHcare's assigned community service programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and mission.
• Strengthen collaboration across behavioral health and community-based service programs.
• Lead BHcare's primary care integration strategy through healthcare partnerships and expanded access to coordinated behavioral health and primary care services.
• Identify opportunities for program growth, innovation, and grant-funded initiatives.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and support to program directors and managers while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on budgeting, operational planning, staffing models, and resource allocation.
• Monitor service utilization, access, outcomes, and quality metrics and develop data-informed recommendations to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all licensure, accreditation, contractual, regulatory, and funding requirements.
• Represent BHcare in community collaborations, stakeholder meetings, and strategic partnerships.
• Evaluate emerging community needs and identify opportunities to enhance services and access to care.
• Support grant development, implementation, and sustainability efforts
• Lead talent development initiatives, including hiring, performance management, and professional growth of staff.
