  • Proven ability to write, edit, and produce content, including presentations and research documents.
  • Experience working directly with reporters and developing media strategies strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and edit press releases, statements, op-eds, speeches, executive communications, newsletters, digital content, social media posts, and other client-facing materials.

  • Develop and execute earned media strategies, including identifying story opportunities, developing pitches, preparing spokespeople, and engaging reporters and other media stakeholders.
  • Support rapid-response communications, including developing messaging and materials on tight deadlines in response to breaking news and policy developments.
  • Prepare clients and senior executives for media interviews, public appearances, stakeholder meetings, and other high-profile engagements.

Lilette Advisors is seeking a highly organized and driven candidate to support the planning, execution, and delivery of a variety of communications and public affairs strategies for our diverse clients. This position is ideal for a creative and strategic thinker who is enthusiastic about contributing to client success and helping them achieve their goals through impactful communications. In this role, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met, client expectations are exceeded, and all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This is a dynamic role where you will work closely with senior team members and clients to ensure seamless execution of high-profile projects.

Key Responsibilities
Communications Strategy and Content Development:

Project Management & Execution:
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of multiple client projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and client objectives.
  • Create detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring that each project stays on track and is delivered on time.
  • Manage day-to-day project activities, including coordinating team efforts, communicating updates, and addressing any roadblocks.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables meet expectations and are completed efficiently.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to accommodate changes or unforeseen issues.
  • Ensure high-quality work is delivered in accordance with the client's goals, timelines, and budget constraints.
Client & Team Communication:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects, providing regular updates and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Communicate with internal teams to ensure everyone is aligned on project goals, timelines, and expectations.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and collaborate with them to provide solutions that meet their evolving needs.
  • Prepare regular reports and status updates to keep both clients and internal teams informed about project progress.
  • Identify potential risks to project timelines or deliverables and proactively address issues to minimize any negative impact.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any project-related challenges, ensuring that the project remains on track and client expectations are met.
Process Improvement & Efficiency:
  • Identify areas of process improvement within project workflows and suggest best practices to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Implement and uphold internal project management standards to ensure consistency and quality across all projects.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Policy, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, ideally within a strategic advisory, government relations, or public affairs setting.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Experience working directly with reporters and developing media strategies strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to write, edit, and produce content, including presentations and research documents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to interact with clients, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges and develop proactive solutions.
  • Highly detail-oriented and capable of working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
  • Salary: $80,000–$120,000 (commensurate with experience).
  • Eligible for an annual performance-based bonus.
