Position Title: Vice President, Clinical Operations
Location: Remote, USA with preferred locations in SF Bay Area, Austin, TX, Chicago, Seattle, Denver, Atlanta, NYC or Boston, MA.
About the Role
As VP, Clinical Operations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Wheel’s clinical future. You’ll oversee key aspects of clinical operations, including quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and team management. You will lead the Clinical Operations team, establish key metrics, and ensure operational efficiency as Wheel continues to grow. The VP, Clinical Operations will also be responsible for the evaluation of medical practitioners; assessing clinical quality and ensuring quality of medical care and for quality assessment. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical operations background, a strategic mindset, and collaborative work style.
What You’ll Do
Clinical Leadership
Provide leadership to the Clinical Operations Team. Oversee the strategic and the day-to-day activities of the team, including directing, coaching, and guiding individuals to implement departmental, divisional, and organizational goals.
Lead operations with a command of key performance indicators, leverage technology to optimize cost per unit / case, measure and report on the impact of clinical operations activities.
Clinical Operations
Clinical Support Oversight: Manage and scale clinical support operations, ensuring effective, efficient support for Wheel’s clinical network.
Client Relations: Serve as the point of contact for clients as needed, ensuring clinical operational alignment with client needs and expectations.
Client Launch Management: Ensure the team manages the clinical aspects of client launches on time and with accuracy, including adherence to client-specific guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Quality Assurance Oversight: Lead the development and execution of the Quality Assurance Program and chair the Quality Assurance Committee, ensuring clinicians adhere to Wheel’s clinical standards and client-specific guidelines.
Regulatory Compliance: Maintain and oversee the clinical regulatory aspects of collaborative agreements to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Process Improvement: Create and implement scalable processes and procedures to ensure clinical excellence and operational efficiency across the organization.
Clinical Quality and Compliance
Develop frameworks and procedures to optimize clinical workflows and care programs over time; including but not limited to identifying, implementing, and tracking patient and clinical outcomes metrics across care programs and using data to drive and deploy iterative improvements.
Who You Are
Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in a clinical or healthcare management role inclusive of telemedicine as the predominant practice method.
Experience working with digital product and technical teams preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
Salary and Perks
Pay Range is $222,000 - 304,000 plus a leadership bonus
Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
