Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking a VP, Capital Markets to manage financing and capital markets activities and shape the company’s long‑term financial strategy. You will forecast liquidity, assess financing terms, and support strategic projects with executive leadership, including interactions with Blackstone and other partners.

You will lead modeling, valuation analysis, and reporting to inform decisions, while coordinating across teams and ensuring compliance in a fast-paced growth environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Mathematics or equivalent work experience.
• Ten or more years work experience in investment banking or financial equity research program or similar role in financial planning and analysis or real estate capital markets.

• Independently develop and maintain financial models to support liquidity forecasting, interest forecasting, and capital allocation.

• Contribute to strategic initiatives including M&A and global expansion.

SUMMARY

The Vice President, Capital Markets manages the execution and administration of QTS’ financing and capital markets activities and plays an integral role in developing long-term financial strategy for the Company. This role involves managing near- and long-term liquidity forecasting for the Company and identifying financing strategies to optimize capital resources. This role will also play an integral role in developing long-term financial strategy for the Company and contribute directly in strategic projects including M&A, long-term forecasting, competitive research and valuation analysis. In this role you will report to the EVP of Finance and work as a key member of a small, tight-knit team in a fast-paced environment supporting QTS’ accelerating growth profile. You will have regular interaction and exposure to the broader executive leadership team as well as members of Blackstone, QTS’ majority owner and one of the largest and most sophisticated private investment firms in the world. In addition, the Vice President - Capital Markets will have the opportunity to contribute to financial reporting and presentations to executive leadership on a regular basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned

• Lead the execution and administration of complex financial transactions, including collaboration with banking partners, coordination among internal departments, Blackstone and other transaction participants, evaluation of key financing terms, and ongoing administration
• Independently develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making including liquidity and interest forecasting, sensitivity analysis and capital allocation
• Prepare and present materials and analysis to internal leaders and Blackstone partners in support of overall financial strategy
• Subject matter expert in QTS’ capital structure and financing terms and independently manage ongoing administration and compliance
• Contribute to ongoing strategic initiatives including M&A and global expansion
• Contribute to preparation and presentation of Board materials, ongoing reporting dashboards and ad hoc requests

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Mathematics or equivalent work experience
• Ten or more years work experience in investment banking or financial equity research program or similar role in financial planning and analysis or real estate capital markets

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• MBA Progress toward Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
• Five or more years’ experience in real estate development, technology, and/or the data center industry

• Strong work ethic, self-motivated, resourceful and capable of effective independent judgement
• Ability to organize, interpret, and draw appropriate conclusions from large volumes of data and to creatively present the information in a manner that enables non-financial managers to easily digest the information
