Henkel Corporation is seeking a Head Attorney to provide strategic legal guidance for the North America Consumer Brands, Professional Beauty, and regional Procurement functions. The role leads a 16-person legal team and serves on the NA Legal Leadership Team, guiding risk, corporate governance, and crisis response.

You will collaborate with regional teams worldwide on complex matters while maintaining Stamford, CT as your primary office. A hybrid schedule with 60% in-office work is supported.

What you´ll do

• Significant Scope: Head attorney responsible for providing legal guidance and support to the Henkel Consumer Brands (HCB) NA business (covering laundry, homecare and consumer beauty categories), the Professional Beauty business, and the regional Procurement function
• High-Level Impact: Act as the trusted legal counselor to Henkel’s HCB executive leadership, work closely with the President of HCB NA advising on critical business topics and crisis management, and provide quasi-legal support in the areas of sustainability, real estate, and external associations
• Critical Team Leadership: Lead a team of 16 professionals (8 attorneys and 8 paralegals) who constitute the commercial team, the patent team and the trademark team supporting the North American HCB business
• Key Department Leadership: Serve on the NA Legal Leadership Team working with the NA CLO and other senior legal leaders to drive strategy and develop talent for the 48 person NA Legal Department
• Broad Regional and Global Network: Collaborate with regional legal teams specializing in employment/labor, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, corporate governance, risk management, and litigation, and partner with legal colleagues throughout the world on complex, cross-border legal matters
• Presence, Balanced with Flexibility: In-office presence at Henkel’s Stamford, CT offices is critical due to responsibilities for team leadership, relationship building with key stakeholders, and close collaboration on highly sensitive and quickly changing matters, but the position also allows the flexibility of a 60% in office/ 40% remote hybrid schedule.
